ORIENTATION, BIKE FITTING, and A RIDE IN COPENHAGEN!

Today‘s weather was sunny and a cool 58 degrees as Dan, Rick and I

walked 5 miles to the “Waterfront” and back . Not surprisingly, it was a large

tourist crowd at the iconic multi-colored buildings in Copenhagen; a beautiful

spot in the Capital city of Denmark.

Our first “official gathering” of the 12 cyclists and 3 guides for the Expedition

from Copenhagen to Paris took place today at 1:00 pm. We met Enrico (Italy),

Lois (Belgium), and Lisa (Italy) our guides for the adventure. They gave us an excellent

Overview of the ride: the rules, the highlights, of this 1000mile bike tour of Western Europe.

We mounted our bikes at 2:00pm and rode 10 k through the busy streets amidst the

numerous folks in the bike paths of Copenhagen. Our destination was the “Mermaid” statue

on the waterfront. A dinner followed at an excellent nouvelle cuisine restaurant!
